Los Angeles, California – With heavy hearts, It’s Just Us Productions announces the passing of Gary Martin, a beloved icon in the entertainment industry and a cherished member of our advisory board. Gary Martin’s remarkable 32-year tenure at Sony and Columbia Pictures stands as a testament to his visionary leadership and profound impact on the world of filmmaking. As President of both Sony Pictures and Columbia TriStar Motion Pictures, he steered the production of over 600 films, including iconic franchises like Spider-Man, Men in Black, and Ghostbusters, alongside modern classics such as James Bond Casino Royale, The Social Network, and The Prince of Tides. A true luminary, Gary Martin played an instrumental role in shaping the landscape of Sony Pictures Studios, notably establishing the Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage and pioneering sustainability initiatives that propelled the facility to become the

industry’s first zero-waste studio lot in 2011. In tribute to his illustrious career, Sony paid homage to Gary by renaming the historic Stage 15, famed for The Wizard of Oz, as “The Gary Martin Sound Stage.” Gary’s enduring influence extended to It’s Just Us Productions and Rocket Science when he joined their Executive Board in 2016.Gary Martin’s legacy transcends his professional achievements, leaving an indelible mark on our companies, the entertainment industry, and his philanthropic endeavors.
